The FLM instrument is a manual DIflux instruments as traditionally used by magnetic observers for measurements both in the field (repeat stations) and in geomagnetic observatories. This  instruments is based on non magnetic theodolites equipped with a fluxgate.

The FLM5 instrument has been specially designed for use in geomagnetic observatories. FLM5 is an improved version of the former FLM4 instrument.
