Development of space-weather services
We develop warning and forecasting services based on our observations and models of the ionosphere. Within Belgium, this is primarily done through the Solar-Terrestrial Centre of Excellence where we work closely together with colleagues from the Royal Observatory and the Royal Institute for Aeronomy.
Internationally, we are involved in the Pecasus project providing space weather information to civilian airline pilots, as well as in various European projects for the development of space weather applications.
